Protege WX DLL API Reference

The Protege WX DLL API gives you access to program, monitor and control the Protege WX controller and its connected hardware devices. This is ideal for creating applications using one or multiple Protege WX controllers.

This documentation covers the requirements for authenticating with and using the API, the available request and command types, and the parameters for programming each record type.

General Notes

• This documentation does not contain complete information about the parameters available for programming records. See the Protege WX Programming Reference for more information about these settings.

• It is recommended that you use the most recent Protege WX firmware available, as older firmware may not support all of the features and parameters described in this documentation.

  The API is not available before Protege WX version 4.00.312.

• Some parameters refer to inputs as zones and outputs as PGMs. These terms are interchangeable throughout this documentation.
